Excess stress or load placed on the body preventing it from functioning to full potential.
Normally requires a period of recovery to allow your body to heal, recovery doesn’t necessarily mean rest/ inactivity.
It usually affects your musculo-skeletal system including Bones, Muscles, Tendons, and Cartilage
Injuries often result in pain, swelling, tenderness and the inability to use or place weight on the area.
Two types of injury types;
Acute - painful/swollen, fresh, trauma
Chronic - usually reoccurring, built up over time.
